In partnership with the Greene County Sheriff's Office, new school zone speed enforcement cameras will be operational starting Feb. 15, 2024, as part of the ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety of our community’s school zones.

The locations include the Ruckersville Elementary School Zone (eastbound and westbound), as well as the William Monroe High School and Nathanael Greene Elementary/Primary School Zones. The cameras will be active when the school zone lights are flashing.

A 30-day warning period will begin February 15 to educate and familiarize drivers with the cameras’ presence. Violators will receive warnings instead of citations during this period.

The goal of the cameras is to improve road safety and create a secure and safe environment for all who use the roads around our schools.

Please contact the Greene County Sheriff’s Office with any questions or concerns.
